dartir
created by KingAcer.

The dartir split from its ancestor, the flying dart. Some flying darts where not fast enough to catch and kill twelve-winged worms, but instead of dying out they started feeding on dead fauna. Finding dead fauna costs less energy then having to kill twelve-winged worms, so they started getting smaller and are now about 10 cm long. They also developed a stinger on the end of the tail which they use to stay attached to their food without having to clap their wings as much. Furthermore the dartir is not very different from it’s ancestor except for those changes. It has spread to Huggs Scrub, Yokto Taiga and Huggs Taiga.

Whats not to like? It’s a Buttblaster!! Created by Hydromancerx.

buttblaster

The buttblaster split from its ancestor the sulfuric nobit. It has migrated to the plains. Now with no sulfur to lick it had to evolve new butt-nostril adaptations. It now has one butt nostril that breathes in and out normally while the other 2 are specifically for “blasting”. It has evolved 2 large “butt-sacs” which can fill up with air or water. Normally there is no water source around so it will “blast” would be predators away with a pressurized burst of air and sound. The sound of the blast makes a loud boom which can not only scare away predators but stun them as well. Those that live near the rivers will fill out on water and create a pressurized water gun effect to soak predators.

Their top pair of side spikes has evolved into a support stand for when it has to lift up it back end to “blast”. Males will still fight for mates using their side spikes but sometimes they will even air blast each other as well. They live in social groups, protecting each other from predators by sticking close together.

Another awesome creature from Rhodix. The detail and work that he puts into each drawing is amazing. It gives each creature such a realistic feel to it.

kleptarthir

The kleptarthir replaced its ancestor, the armored trapinfilter. It evolved in the warm waters of Clayren Coast, near to the water surface, where the food is abundant. It is very similar to its ancestor, but now the segmented shell is articulated when the creature is young, becoming hard and almost rigid while the creature grows, giving a final shape to the body. They live in colonies and, due to its proximity, even when the food is plentiful, they can steal food from others placing their armored tentacles into the mouth of the nearest kleptarthirs. When full, the tentacles will retract into the shell. Kleptartirs keep spawning huge clouds of spores in the summer, maximizing the chances of their offspring survive. Due to its successful evolution, the kleptarthir replaced its ancestor on Clayren Coast.
