I guess that will be part of the challenge. Then again a possible example is the Flune => Tumbling Flune.

That example seems not a very big leap at all. They both live in the desert and river. Eat more or less the same thing. And can both roll into a ball.

ok how about the Pancakefoot => Monofoot. The ancestor only could make floppy hops, the descendant could jump and walk with greater ease.

Eh I don't know. I was thinking of species like the Strainbean to the Green Swarmer. I know that's a neotiny example but I could not remember another good example.

Yes, a species that survived or was the first descendant of the species that survived. So, do you like them?

I have to think about them for now. For instance "It's a what?" I don't think should be one since that would take very little effort to make. Also If I add more we may have to have like a Challenge Master 2 badge which would require maybe like 25 species.

Ya, I can understand what you think about "It's a whats?." I don't think you would have to make another badge. I mean, you need ten to get the badge and there's only fourteen challenges to choose from. To add more would be just to give you more options.

#8 - Blast from the Past
Your challenge is to evolve a living species from 100 generations ago or older.

But there is only one extant species from over 100 gens ago... Personally I think it should be for creating a split of a creature that evolved before gen 100 now that would be more manageable...

The only organism that would fit the time frame given would be Octherma.

We still have species that are older than gen 100.

Older Species
