Light can penetrate 1 - 1.4 miles below ice (Before you say anything, photosynthesis can only happen up to 200 m), and if you look at current places covered in ice or past records of snowball earths, they show that they tend to be 1 mile thick at sea level, and since this is a mountain cave it's not at the bottom of the glacier and that it's at the equator, the ice would be thinner, not bright enough for us humans to find very useful, but cave creatures could use because they're used to living in dim to no light.
in a cave, only the first room gets any light, thus making the large creatures from 129 impossible already, then the dimmedness would give half the first room light

Be it the ice pushing boulders in front of the cave opening or just gravel filling it in.

Must have forgotten to place it their, as I have it forming a large stable population in it thats separated from the ocean one in its description. Mind if I add it in? Don't think it should change anything.
