So? It's like the whale/squid thing. Sometimes the whale get's eaten, sometimes the squid.
because as we all know hundreds of whale jaws show up in squid crops

No, teeth. but they're rarer than finding beaks in the whale stomach. What I'm saying is now the Cave Hateech needs to adapt more.
They would hunt the cave stalkers in packs, encircling them into a group and harassing them until the stalkers are too tired to fight back, like the orca. They can still do that, but now the jumping stalker has a better offense.

I thing Wikipedia has it right In particular, the image of a giant squid locked in battle with a sperm whale is a common one, although the squid is, in fact, the whale's prey and not an equal combatant. and what do orcas harass, they attack outright, the closest thing to harassment they do is fill the water with sound to effectively blind other whales while their buddies attack the calf if the stalker has forewarning it will lick it's claws and any wounds it lands would kill and why would they be on the ground anyway

I already said that. You're right about wikipedia: They are known to occasionally harass and kill porpoises and seals for no apparent reason.
When hunting a young whale, a group chases it and its mother until they are worn out. But it's defending itself against a group of animals 5x larger than themselves, they don't have claws, they have hooks, and nowhere does it state it has this behavior. Because staying on the wall when being attacked would be certain death. They'd have to run away.

Which? Post Merge: January 09, 2010, 11:15:52 PM
it never at any point says squids eat whales
the attacks are because humans, seals, porpoises, and orcas can't all eat the same fish and they have the power to get rid two of those things, however only Resident orcas do this any other type would hunt them
that isn't a harassment, it's a hunt, harassment is to get rid of things
and how would they get cornered, the cave hateech would work blind
they wouldn't be noticed if they were on the wall
Again, I already said that. Well, non resident orcas hunt whales by chasing them to exhaustion. I was using this definition: 1 a : exhaust, fatigue b (1) : to annoy persistently (2) : to create an unpleasant or hostile situation for especially by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct Light can penetrate 1 - 1.4 miles below ice (Before you say anything, photosynthesis can only happen up to 200 m), and if you look at current places covered in ice or past records of snowball earths, they show that they tend to be 1 mile thick at sea level, and since this is a mountain cave it's not at the bottom of the glacier and that it's at the equator, the ice would be thinner, not bright enough for us humans to find very useful, but cave creatures could use because they're used to living in dim to no light.

So? It's like the whale/squid relationship. Sometimes the whale get's eaten, sometimes the squid.
Why is the Thermoten extinct?
1. Well one bite from Jumping Stalker would make the Cave Hateech bleed to death due to its anti-coagulant. If anything tthey would keep the Cave Hateech in check from killing all the other fauna in the cave. 2. Um it looks like it was just never added to the the ecosystem page. Hmm very weird. EDIT: Added to both ecosystem pages. Hmm very strange. Maybe I approved but never added it to the ecosystem page. I have no idea.
