I like it
Thanks. Here's another I did because I found out the thing doesn't start until noon (and I only need a maximum of three hours drive time, so I had time for another sprite).  Since I did Bristlesquid, I figured, hey, why not just do all my organisms in order of creation?

So here's Runanchor.  Same deal as before.

I've got others I have done that I'll have to go and upload here sometime, although I need to take a short nap before work today before I do anything else, really.

Hey I found a cool site called Squiby:
http://www.squiby.net/index.php
WHat makes this so interesting is that you can create your own adoptables for free. Now we can make our own Sagan 4 adoptables for all to see, plus it'll be great advertizing for the project.

An idea: since you're alowed to make 3 stages of development (egg, lvl. 1, lvl. 2) we could do it like this: make an "egg" (or embryo) of a specific Sagan 4 species, then the level 1 form could be the creature as a baby, then level 2 can be the adult. For the description of the adult we can add a link to its respective description on the wiki. Whaddiya think?

I think that's a cool idea. Just don't make them too big. The banner space at the bottom should not be too big or cluttered.

Mind giving us a preview of the other "levels" for critique?

I think instead of doing an egg, then embryo, then adult, we should just do two evolutions.
For example, I could start with the running beastworm, then the golden sauceback, and finally the vicous sauceback.

I'm not sure how to do that, but it will change at 20, then it will go to my pixel

OK If anyone is gonna try this anymore, could some fresh, original art be used? We want the species to look artistically attractive so others will take notice, not to just reuse old art. Also please post the all art you will use for the adoptable beforehand (this means all 3 stages) so we can critique and thus make some quality work for this.

I understand what you mean Clarke, in fact I originally thought the same idea. But then I realized it might mislead people to think that Sagan 4 creatures evolve like Pokemon (something none of us want to happen). Plus if we do the egg(embryo)/baby/adult thing then we have a chance to explore a new aspect of the project that is little understood, meaning some much needed science will be discovered.

I think its pretty high-quality art, especially since its already been approved. We could explain the ones that are two evolutions in the description, and the ones that go from egg to juvenile to adult could have a tag on them. I doubt we could produce enough for people to be interested if we just relied on brand-new pixel art.
