Excellent, but if you do feel that way why don't we draft some of the lesser participating members of this forum (last time I checked there are over 100!) or try recruting a well renound spriter from another art site, like El Moppo (as I suggested before).

Maybe you could make a tutorial for sprite conversion.

I've done a number of sprites for a Sagan IV game, and I've considered the idea of an adoption game as well. I've never shown the sprites I've done though, but I could try and get some together if you want to see them. They'd don't have as much shading as that Capiri, though, I usually only work in 1-2 shading colors, and that looked like maybe four..?

sprite convertion is time consuming

I really wanted to do something Sagan-related on my E(mergence)-Day here, and since I don't know if I have time to do a full-fledged submission later on, I decided to do a sprite for this topic, instead.  Perfect choice since it took me exactly all the time I had left before I left.  I figured the first species I ever submitted would make a good choice for the first sprite I'd do for this project, as well.

My sprite is a .png file and since I still don't have GIMP available, the background isn't transparent, but other than that it's done in the same style that the Capisail was (I assume) and is the exact same pixel size.  What'dya think?
