If you look closely at the member list, you should notice a new line saying Badges. It is a new praise system to encourage people to participate more in the project. These are the current badges and their meanings. Badges PageIf you think a badge should be added, please reply here. If you think you deserve a badge and I missed you while updating, please PM me or reply here I keep track of badges qualification in a chart. You can find the chart here, to see where you stand. If you see a mistake or something I neglected to add, please inform me in this thread or PM me Update: From now on all badges, medals and awards are displayed on the user's posts (Like mine, under the online indicator).

Define "Sterile Biome".
Also: Taxonomer (name pending)=Make a species which is the first of a new Genus, Family, Order, etc. Swapper (name pending)=Make XX number of swaps in a single Week (number=XX; XX placed next to badge) Extincter (name pending)=Kill off XX number of species (competiton or decendent replacement) in a single Generation (See swapper)

There are 2100 species or so in the wiki. I'll have some trouble finding biome adopters and diversifiers to give badges to. That's why I asked you to tell me if you think you deserve one Define "Sterile Biome".
Dead biome or Unsustainable biome. less than 5 microbes, less than 5 producer macros

I've added the badge Also: Taxonomer (name pending)=Make a species which is the first of a new Genus, Family, Order, etc. Swapper (name pending)=Make XX number of swaps in a single Week (number=XX; XX placed next to badge) Extincter (name pending)=Kill off XX number of species (competiton or decendent replacement) in a single Generation (See swapper)
Taxonomer will not work, because almost everyone can claim they started a genus, family or order. Swapper could work, but keeping track on all the swaps will be too hard. Extinctor is just wrong, we don't want people killing organisms just to get badges, this planet is sterile enough as it is.

They were just suggestions, also badges should increase in rank (i.e. diorama winner 1 badge if you won 1 diorama contest, etc.)
I have many more badge ideas, I'll post them when I have time.

I didn't mean for it to sound discouraging or offensive, sorry if it did. I'm glad you have ideas, and the rank increasing is a good one, thanks

Biome Adopter (Make 5 or more creatures for the same sterile biome) I guess I get that one for the Bono Limestone Sea Caves.

Ramul won the diorama contest twice I put 2 diorama winner badgers. However you might want to make a new badge for that such as a win 2 diorama badge.
Biome Adopter (Make 5 or more creatures for the same sterile biome) I have done this many times. Most noticeably Iryna River.

I'm going to make a ranking badge from 1 to 5 and then for every 5 badges. It's going to take a while though... Biome Adopter (Make 5 or more creatures for the same sterile biome) I have done this many times. Most noticeably Iryna River. I know, I just didn't want to mess up on this, so I'm making a list offline, and add users that tell me specifically that they deserve it.

I think we should have "Species Badges" based on the number you make. I am not sure about the gold, silver, bronze part but you get the idea. Tin Species Badge - 25 Total Species Copper Species Badge - 50 Total Species Bronze Species Badge - 100 Total Species Iron Species Badge - 200 Total Species Silver Species Badge - 500 Total Species Gold Species Badge - 1000 Total Species Platinum Species Badge - 2000 Total Species Diamond Species Badge - 5000 Total Species And the way to tell how many total you have is on here. There are 200 per page and then if its not a total of 200 it lists how many are on the page. BTW I have around 750 species So I would be on my way to Gold.
