If it had evolved it could have. But since its underground only you can't anymore. Dass Shallows now merged with with the South Polar Coast thus killing off all species within that biome.

Glaciers are compacted snow.

The North and South Glaciers are the part that never melt. Note you can see where it freezes during the winter too.

Glaciers move. If it touches water it falls in. And that ice needs to be 18 km thick at least.

Then its an ice sheet. I added it because someone said they wanted glacier shown.

Long story. Involves being antagonized by a forum member whose name I withhold. I was tempted to start cussing.

Sorry for double posting but I think we should have a map of underground things. There could be different parts of caves, multiple entrances, and we could see the shape of the water tables.

Maybe in the future. But for now its basically 1 water table sits under each of the 4 landmasses. Barlowe and Dixon are conected while Darwin and Drake are not. Any mainland cave are connected to the water table while caves on islands are not. Also ice caves are not connected to water tables.

Why would we need a map of the underground? Only as fan art.
Every cave is one biome, it can't be divided into different biomes.
