Vodiya, a planet covered in water and spotted with small islands is the base for a story I'm working on for several years now.

Its is a story about Alex Vushkov, a scientist from earth that got stranded on this planet along with the crew of the escape ship "Gilgamesh". It tells of his life and his descendants 800 years later, known as the three Dammas of Delfin, or as "The Vushkov Daughters".

This is a bit about the planet and it's people.

Named after the Gilgamesh escape ship that brought Alex Vushkov to Vodiya, the Gilgamesh Ocean was once home to the great tribe of Gilgamesh. 800 years later, all that is left are remnants of tribes who were once vassals to it and now stand in battle against foes from the Oranjevi Akula tribe in the east, and the Pianaya Obeziyana tribe in the south. The groups of Islands that populate this ocean are the sacred Gilgamesh group and the Mahor group.
some archaeological sites yet remain from the age of Tribe Gilgamesh' reign, and pirates and scavengers are abundant in these waters.

Islands of the Gilgamesh group include:
A. Gilgamesh

B. Perspolis
<coming soon>

Islands of the Mahor group include:
A. Mahor

B. Ednofur
<coming soon>
C. Kalf

The maps are well drawn. I wonder what kinds of organisms live there.

So does that mean that there were no native organisms at all when they landed?

not really, they terraformed it from a dead planet to a water filled planet, using genetically engineered organisms and nanobots.

Well, what did the genetically engineered organisms look like?

You said the planet was a russian outpost, what does that mean?

all in due time
though I don't think I'll elaborate on the organisms much, because that isn't the nature of this story.
this story is more about people and political relations.

yay! surprisingly, i am a bit more intereste in alien culture than organisms, so this is a happy moment for me.

also, if this guy was the father of many future generations... well who was the mother?

He wasn't the only human there. And I'm not sure you can call them alien, as they are completely human by our standards, and in 800 year, they won't change much physiologically. I always seem to forget his wife's name... I have it written somewhere around here, with a genealogy to present day, but I have no idea where it could possibly be...

He was only one of many scientists and other personal that got stranded in Vodiya. It just so happens that his son, Michail became the ruler of a tribe, and later elated to a god status (Thus making his father, Alex a god as well)

Are they regular Russian animals or have they evolved/been genetically altered in some way?
Either way, do you have a list of some of the species they brought with them?
