This is cool! It looks almost like a greyhound, which is actually a good thing. I also like how its name is Dune backwards. I named a planet that once.

Thanks everybody! I thought they had two back-flaps.
they used to have three, but the ones on the sides are gone as they where useless. The spikes wich where on them remain and have grown bigger.

Haha, thanks man! It was actually more highlighting than shading though, cause I work from dark to light.

Poor Maineiac. That's the exact reason I refuse to use chatrooms, actually. Too much talking, too much fast. I generally choose a neutral color and use a transparency of black for shade, and then highlight with a transparency of white for highlights, realize the highlights (not the magazines, those are coo) are "absolutely dreadful", and remove them from view before saving the file. Although I leave the highlights in the eyes, cuz they're squishy and wet. Ew, eyeballs. Oh hey, I just realized. Me and Saganmaineiac? We're on the complete opposite sides of the continental United States.

Thanks Russ! That's a cool idea. I should try that. I usually pick the middle color then add black for shade and if its shiny then add white for shine opposite of the black.
This how I do it: I pick a dark colour and then put a lighter colour over the places where light would fall, and then even lighter colours on places where more light would fall etc. meanwhile I use colourpicker to blend everything together. By the way, I would advise not to use black and white for shadows and highlights, it usually looks better when u use another dark or light colour. It often looks best when u use contrasting colours for shadows and highlights. When I was done with the highlights I went over the shadows lightly with a dark blue, because the highlights where a light yellow/brownish colour (beige?). Oh yeah, I do use white highlights sometimes, but only when it's really shiny, like eyes or a shell or something I guess.
