Reminds me of my second attempt to join the team. It may take you a while to join (It took me over a year!) but be patient and keep at it and you will get in eventually Smiley

I am not going to say much since I have been busy but your picture needs major work before you can be accepted.

Flash Foi (Novumvetus Flashus)
Creator: BomberBoy
Week/Generation: 24/151
Habitat: LadyM Polar Sea, North Jujubee Polar Ocean (Sunlight Zone).
Size: 1.1 cm
Diet: Parasite (Any Scylarians' skin), Haemovore (Any Scylarians), Photosynthesis, Filterfeeder, Carnivore (Rosy Polyfoi, Trisiphon Polyfoi)
Reproduction: Asexual (Spores), Semi-Sexual (Primitive Spawning).
Ancestor: Rosy Polyfoi, Flash Cells

The Flash Foi split from its ancestors and spread to the North Jujubee Polar Ocean (Sunlight Zone). Once, a Rosy Polyfoi's larva regained ancestral genes from the Foi, gaining a belly-stomach and eyes. It floated about for a while, filter-feeding and growing into a proper foi, when suddenly its highly mutatable genes fused with a Flash Cell's genes.

The Flash Foi has regained two eyes, and has gained spikes and a red crest, which it pops up to suprise predators. The crest has a spike too, much like the archaic Mud-Spike, so it can stab the predator.

It floats in huge plumes near the surface, filter-feeding and photosynthesising. If a scylarian swims past, they swim as fast as possible towards it. Most fail to reach it, but some will manage to reach it. Interestingly, this can help the scylarian because it might scare off a predator with it's flashing and spikes. Also, it digests any Polyfois on the scylarian. However, they mostly hurt it by feeding on it's skin, blood and disrupting it's camouflage. The scylarian can shed them by heading into deeper waters, because the Flash Fois will swim away because they cannot photosynthesis in deep waters.

In these huge plumes, they will occasionally shed some of their genetic material, and will absorb others' genes. These genes are incorporated into their spores, so theoretically a foi could have an infinite number of parents.

Apart from the fact I can't see the picture

Quote
(Novumvetus Flashus)
Should be written in Italics: (Novumvetus Flashus)

You are missing the ancestor from the info. It needs to be there but is optional in the description

Also your description is a bit too story like and simplistic. Try making it sound more scientific

Examples of good desciptions

http://wiki.mydigiview.com/index.php?title=Odoflash
http://wiki.mydigiview.com/index.php?title=Xatabound

Or see some of the submitted species in the Generation 151 thread

I can't see the picture but ideally the method of evolution should be plausible and not spontaneous as you make it. You should also check up on the project rules for any other information regarding submissions. Your description should be no shorter than the Odoflash but if you want to make it as long as the Xatabound one you can Smiley

Quote
The Flash Foi has regained two eyes, and has gained spikes and a red crest, which it pops up to suprise predators. The crest has a spike too, much like the

If you are going to mention this, this again needs reasons otherwise the evolution seems pointless. Considered reasons before submission

That's all for now, but yeah when I see the photo I'll add to this

Just some criticism, do not feel offended Smiley

Not to bad.  I'm still working on my first submission.

C'mon mate instead of saying you are, lets see it Tongue

1) find the HTML coding of the image you uploaded to photobucket. I don't use photobucket so you'll have to search around for it. If they give more than one image code try them all until your post preview displays the image.
2) let me check the map on the week 24 ecosystem page....

[Edit]
Well there's the three temperature zones AND the various depth zones of the oceans themselves.

Problems ...

1. Your art needs work.

2. You need to list the gen in the picture

Quote
Week/Generation: 24/151

3. No need to list this. The Ancestor into should go in this spot.

Quote
Ancestor: Rosy Polyfoi, Flash Cells

You cannot hybrid it, due to the Hybrid rules ...

Microbe Hybrids
Only microbes can becomes hybrid with non-related species.

Macro Hybrids
Closely related macro species can become hybrid.

Example #1
Direct Ancestor with decedent.

Example #2
2 Decedents with the same direct ancestor.

Quote
Habitat: LadyM Polar Sea, North Jujubee Polar Ocean (Sunlight Zone).

4. Wrong habatats. These no longer exist. See Week 24 ecosystem page for which biomes currently exist.

Quote
Diet: Parasite (Any Scylarians' skin), Haemovore (Any Scylarians), Photosynthesis, Filterfeeder, Carnivore (Rosy Polyfoi, Trisiphon Polyfoi)

5. It should be Planktivore not Filterfeeder now.

Quote
Reproduction: Asexual (Spores), Semi-Sexual (Primitive Spawning).

6. What?

Quote
The Flash Foi split from its ancestors and spread to the North Jujubee Polar Ocean (Sunlight Zone).

7. In the description the name of the species should be lowercase.

8. Overall to big of a chnage as well as the whole hybrid problem. I suggest picking something that is no a hybrid and that you can easily draw with good quality.
